Zydone Detox Medical Options

Table of Contents

People who take Zydone for therapeutic reasons can usually do so safely and with good results. Zydone is an opiate analgesic containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is an opiate (narcotic) medication that has the potential to be habit forming, so there are those patients who do develop a dependency with long-term use. There are some Zydone detox programs that require long-term commitments, but Waismann Method of southern California is well known for it’s safe, effective and quick opiate treatment.
Waismann Method of Rapid Detox
Patients in the Waismann program can complete their treatment in five to ten days days. This is relatively short, compared to the weeks or months you could be tied up with other treatment programs. We have perfected our treatment over the last decade, bringing our success to the United States for the benefit of tens of thousands of people. Our success in treating Zydone addiction lies in our approach. We effectively manage an otherwise painful withdrawal period. This means that opiate detox doesn’t have to be something that is feared or put off. Zydone withdrawal can cause patients to have flu-like symptoms, mental and emotional distress and more serious issues such as seizures and coma. This is especially true for those patients who have used high doses of the drug or have abused it in any way. Patients in the Waismann program can essentially skip the entire withdrawal phase due to our renowned medical procedure that’s performed under the watchful eye of a prestigious medical team in a hospital. Our doctors, anesthesiologists and nurses work together to individualize patients’ detox so that we are aware of their unique concerns and circumstances.
Our staff’s foremost concern is the safety and well being of our patients. We want our patients to receive the most comprehensive opiate treatment available. That’s why we insist that they have pre-screening so that medical tests can identify any potentially underlying issues that may have contributed to the dependence. From there, we use intravenous medication to cleanse the Zydone from patients’ opiate receptors. This happens while patients are sleeping under  sedation and takes less than two hours. Our detox accelerates withdrawal symptoms such as strong drug cravings, nausea and body aches. These symptoms develop and pass while patients are sedated and they awaken without the awareness they’ve already passed through withdrawal. Patients are then monitored around the clock for a few days and transition with help from our Domus Retreat aftercare facility.

Other Treatment Options for Zydone Dependence

Detox is the process the body goes through when a substance-dependent person stops taking the drug in question. With opiates, this process can become physically painful and mentally draining if professional help is not sought.
Some facilities treat opiate dependence by administering other opiates. This is known as opiate replacement therapy and is typically accomplished with methadone, Suboxone or Subutex. This can be effective for some people but is a long-term fix to a problem that has probably lingered on for long enough. People may find they need to be on replacement medications for a while. They may also need a second detox if they become dependent upon the replacements.
Zydone dependence can be very problematic if left untreated, but fortunately, it is medically reversible and patients can return to a fully productive life in a matter of days.
