Opioid Rehab

Table of Contents

A drug rehabilitation facility, or drug “rehab,” is designed to address addiction. Opioid rehab is designed to treat the complex aspects of opioid addiction which is a growing problem around the world. The programs and services that make up the collective term “rehab” are usually meant to treat physical and/or psychological aspects of addiction.
Opioids (narcotics) attach to opiate receptors in the brain and body and can relieve pain, suppress coughing and produce feelings of euphoria. Prescription opioids include Vicodin, Lortab, Norco and OxyContin . Heroin is also a member of this drug class. Opioid dependence is serious because of the drugs’ potency and their tendency to lead to personal, health and legal problems.
Waismann Method, based in southern California, offers a renowned opioid treatment program that rehabilitates patients quickly through medical detox. Our thorough approach to prescription painkiller addiction is safe, quick, effective, humane and discreet.

Waismann Method an Alternative to Opioid Rehab

We have a number of different medical detoxification methods, based on patients specific medical needs. Our well recognized rapid detox process takes less than two hours using intravenous medication to cleanse opioids from patients’ receptors. The withdrawal phase is accelerated and occurs while patients are sleeping lightly under general deep sedation. They awake opioid-free, yet unaware of the accelerated withdrawal that occurred while they were under.
They are closely monitored for a few days and are given a prescription for a daily dose of the opioid antagonist Naltrexone for up to a year. Our total required hospital stay is 2 to 4 days, offering a much quicker recovery than other opioid rehabs. Some other facilities require stays that can last weeks or months. Also, unlike some other programs, we don’t use opiate replacement drugs such as methadone or Suboxone to wean patients. We know this can lead to a second addiction.
Domus Retreat, our transitional living facility, offers continued care for our patients to ensure a comfortable and effective competition of the detoxification process. The transitional regulation period is a crucial part of the program and at Domus  services such as  biofeedback, massage and counseling makes this phase a lot easier.

Humane Opioid Detox Won’t Label You an Addict for Life

Waismann Method  differs from other opioid rehabs in several key ways. Other programs are based on religion, counseling or the 12-step model. Our scientific and medical approaches are specifically design for each individual specific needs.
Our medical  approach focuses on the mind-body connection, nutrition, exercise, recreation, communication, relaxation and balance for the return to school, work and social life. We simply use the most advanced medical biotechnology available today to end drug dependency. And our treatment model is not guilt or shame-based. We believe in being completely compassionate and humane.
We want patients to feel better about themselves, not dwell on the past. We also don’t label patients addicts for life, because we simply don’t believe that’s the case. We know from first-hand experience that you can and will recover completely, in a short amount of time. Our procedure eliminates the degradation and mental and physical anguish of withdrawal. This makes Waismann Method the front-line choice for opioid detox.
