Ultram Side Effects
If you are taking the narcotic prescription medication Ultram, there is a chance you could experience some side effects ranging from nausea to upset stomach. The brand name for tramadol hydrochloride, Ultram is used to manage moderate to moderately severe pain in adults. The tablets also come in an extended-release version and are used to treat moderate to moderately severe chronic pain. Some people have reported suffering seizures while taking Ultram. This is more likely among those who suffer a seizure disorder, have a head injury, metabolic disorder or are taking certain medications including muscle relaxers, antidepressants or medicine for nausea and vomiting. Ultram can also cause side effects that affect thinking and reaction time so it’s important for patients to avoid taking it when they have to perform tasks such as driving. Side effects can range from mild to severe though some patients may experience no negative effects at all.
Possible Negative Effects Caused by Ultram
Some of the more commonly reported side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, trouble sleeping, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, loss of appetite, flushing of the skin and blurred vision. Constipation is a common problem for those on opiate therapy and can turn serious if left unchecked. An allergic reaction is also possible and signs include rash, wheezing, difficult breathing, closing of the throat, hives or swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat. Ultram is not intended for those who have been addicted to alcohol or drugs. Taking it with alcohol can cause slowed breathing. Drowsiness can be magnified by patients who take Ultram with other narcotics, allergy medication and sleeping pills. Taken regularly, Ultram can also lead to the development of a tolerance meaning the drug’s effects are diminished. Some patients may take more than prescribed, a bad idea that can lead to physical and/or psychological dependence or overdose.
Waismann Method and Domus Retreat: Safe, Discreet Ultram Detox
The Waismann Method of Accelerated Neuro-Regulation (ANR) can get you Ultram-free in a matter of days with our pioneering rapid detox program. We aim to offer compassionate, safe treatment that optimizes patients’ chances for returning to a normal life within days. Our in-hospital procedure begins with thorough diagnostic tests. From there, medication is administered intravenously by a doctor while patients sleep for a short time under deep sedation. The accelerated withdrawal occurs during this procedure, which takes less than two hours, so patients awake without the awareness of the symptoms they experienced. Our treatment is completely opiate-free – we don’t use opiate replacements such as Suboxone or morphine - so there is no need for a second detox. Our Domus Retreat aftercare facility offers continued treatment in a discreet, therapeutic and serene environment. Here, patients can continue working on recovery to address any underlying issues and improve physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
