Dr. Clifford Bernstein

Clifford A. Bernstein, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine and American Society of Addiction Medicine, Dr. Bernstein possesses an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of pain management and opiate dependence. Dr. Bernstein is nationally recognized for his pioneering work in the field of Addiction Medicine and Neurostimulation. Dr. Bernstein is currently involved extensively in several research projects in these areas.

He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesia at the University of California, Irvine. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Rutgers University School of Medicine. His post doctorate training was at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Bernstein is a member of the International Spinal Injection Society, American Association of Interventional Pain Practioners, and the International Association for the Study of Pain, among many other professional societies. He served on the Board of Directors at Tustin Hospital and Medical Center and is the Quality Director at Newport Coast Medical Center.

Dr. Bernstein currently operates a very busy chronic pain management practice in Newport Beach, CA. Dr. Bernstein stresses the judicious use of opiate medications and frequently utilizes neuromodulating devices to ease his patient's pain. Dr. Bernstein is a pioneer in the fields of Anesthesia Assisted Opiate Detoxification and Spinal Cord Stimulation.
