OxyIR Detox
The prospect of having to go through a physical detox (withdrawal) can be discouraging for people suffering from OxyIR addiction. This is, however, a necessary step on the road to recovery. OxyIR is an opiate prescription medication used to treat pain. It is potent and can be habit-forming.
Ridding the body of its dependence on the drug can be done safely and effectively with minimal discomfort. Most people believe they have to suffer through a miserable and degrading withdrawal to get well. Waismann Method, an advanced medical detox facility in southern California, offers rapid opiate detox that thoroughly manages withdrawal. This helps ease patients through an otherwise difficult time in a safe, comfortable manner.
Waismann Method’s OxyIR Detox Is Compassionate, Discreet
A patient goes through withdrawal when the supply of opiates is stopped abruptly. Because of the potency of opiates, it’s not recommended that patients try and go through withdrawal alone. Symptoms can range from nausea and vomiting to body shakes and hallucinations. In more serious cases where patients have abused OxyIR or used it at a high dosage, withdrawal symptoms can include seizures and other serious complications.
Patients should never be made to feel guilt or shame for their addiction. Waismann Method believes in offering detox that is completely compassionate and discreet. We don’t waste time tearing our patients down, making them relive the past. Our goal is simple. We want to detox our patients effectively so they can return home and live the life they deserve.
OxyIR Addiction Can Be Eliminated in Two to Four Days
OxyIR detox is best handled in the safety of a medical setting where doctors and support staff can monitor patients closely. Waismann Method’s OxyIR detox gets patients back on their feet in much less time than other programs. Patients are admitted to our program and undergo tests to rule out any possible underlying medical conditions. The detox procedure takes less than two hours and uses intravenous medication to rid the patients’ opiate receptors of OxyIR addiction. Our anesthesiologists lightly sedate patients during the procedure which accelerates and minimizes the withdrawal phase.
Patients awaken opiate-free and without the awareness the withdrawal symptoms developed and passed while they were sedated. Patients are then monitored around the clock until discharged. Our total required hospital stay is 2 to 4 days. Patients can then decide to return home or transition in our optional aftercare program offered at Domus Retreat. Here, patients can work toward continued recovery through therapies and holistic treatments including counseling, massage and biofeedback.
